This Darth Vader bust printed with a voronoi pattern can be printed in just about any size or material. Voronoi patterns are really popular 3D printing patterns for a very good reason: they look cool. You can 3D print this lamp in just about any material because the walls are thin enough to glow, but personally I think some transparent materials would look great.ĭarth Vader – Voronoi Style by roman_hegglin

This great little project is easy to make just print the two parts and include a USB LED light that can be purchased just about anywhere.

That is absolutely not a moon, it’s a cute little night light shaped like the coolest space station ever made, the Death Star.

Designed to look like a 2D drawing of the iconic Millennium Falcon, a small light hidden in the base illuminates the easily recognizable shape. This decorative lamp is really more of an art piece or display object than a light source. Millennium Falcon Stand and Light by xoxu Designed to look like the unwieldy, hilted, red lightsaber of The Force Awakens’ angsty villain Kylo Ren, it easily clips into place and holds your tie down as if you were using the Force to do it. While this may not be the fanciest tie clip around, it is certainly one of the nerdiest. There may need to be some painting on this project, but 3D printing in a metallic material would avoid a lot of the extra work. This clever design replaces the existing lid on the standard dice box, so any gamer can turn a basic dice holder into a Jedi-themed box. As always, I have linked to the downloadable 3D printable files, and do my best to only include 3D models that are free for everyone. With both the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens on DVD and the debut of the first trailer for Rogue One, the first Star wars spin-off, this week, I decided that this was a perfect time to find some new awesome 3D printable models. Whether it is the various droids that beeped and blooped their way into our hearts, or the vehicles that gave flight to a million little kids’ dreams of flying spaceships, Star Wars is most certain to hold an ever-present place in all of our lives. Additionally, most of us grew up on the original trilogy of movies, or the trilogy of prequels, and they are simply a huge part of pop culture. The films and all of the associated books and comics have created an unbelievably rich world that creators can draw plenty of inspiration from. Star Wars has long been a favorite subject for 3D model designers, and it is really easy to see why.
